Okay. I’m dropping this comic due to that last frame. It’s just not my brand of humor. I’ll miss Vice, Luna, and the gang and their wonderful misadventures, but I need to nope out for now.

Oh man... this is just hilarious... I haven't seen the Shape of Water but I'm going to guess the monster eats a cat at one point...

Thumbs up for RinHaru.
Also, the monster-in-a-tank thing just always reminds me of Ergo Proxy... I don't know if I'd be able to take The Shape of Water seriously... |

The best part of this is honestly Rin's Mildly Concerned Faces in every panel

Not changing the other Shape of Water characters to Free! characters was a bit of a waste, honestly.

I didn't think V&L would make such an immediate connection between The Shape of Water and Free--
Especially since most people I'd heard who'd seen TSoW thought it just looked too much like "Splash": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0Kx3jqEGh4 (Granted, Daryl Hannah was better-looking.) |

wow that Sharkbait, best.
It sounded like a good AU for them, would read it in full. |

Did the shape of water have a scene where a cat was eaten this way, or was it just Vice taking things up to the extreme?

It's a scene in the film, yeah. |

Will be disappointed if this will not be what happens.

I got really hung up on the first sentence of this in that I saw the punctuation mark after "Free" and read it as two--that is, I saw it as "Oh yeah, isn't free!" and "Season 3 coming out real soon?" and thought that this is really weird grammar for both sentences.
But that's just the occupational hazard for any title consisting of one very commonly-encountered word. Plenty of similar stuff happened with me and It last year. |
