Ooh this again. It's these showcases that make me wish I was skilled at drawing, so I can contribute a good illustration(s) for holidays.

The photographs in this article led me to wonder about something. Halloween, I imagine, must be a time at which seasoned cosplayers have an immediate upper hand over the average reveller outside the otaku bubble. Gatherings become awash with generic, hastily-acquired outfits, against which the hobbyists can only compare favourably.
(Plus, the occasion is cheaper than a convention...)

^ Yeah. A lot of costumes sold in stores tend to be cheap as well as generic as it's typically the same outfits base classic monsters or mainstream series like characters from Marvel/DC. For this reason I love seeing when someone dress as a character from a anime and/or manga series as it's something different from the other common outfits.

Correction: "Grand Blue Fantasy" is actually just "Granblue Fantasy".

Halloween is over, but there are still ones missed like ones from Saburouta, Namori, and Jin Takemiya.
