No fcking way! I read this not too long ago. This is a trip, I never thought we'd see an English release of any of his works. Hope this means we'll be seeing an Ultra Heaven release soon after.
Anyone know if the publisher, Last Gasp is any good?

Yup. I have a complete set of Barefoot Gen (the older softcover edition) from them. The font choice in that was kind of weird-- not really comic-style at all-- but it has a solid translation and the printing quality is good. In general, Last Gasp is an old and well-regarded indie/alternative comics publisher, though they don't publish very much manga.
