This is terrible news. I love most sci-fi and hard science literature/media and personally think the latter is underrepresented in popular culture. I don't have much to say since I'm not that familiar with Mr. Hiroshi or his work unfortunately but now that I know of him I will work to correct that. I wish him the best during his treatments and for all he's done to write novels that inspire creativity, imagination, innovation and were not afraid to freely use math and science concepts within his narratives.
