A while back, they launched an initiative to increase working conditions and pay across the board for all their workers. A lot of people were understandably skeptical, but Kuma isn't the only person who has praised working at the company now. There are blogs from other artists and developers who have said they enjoy working with CyGames a lot. And one of CyGames' directors(?) made a comment in a magazine late last year saying he found the quality of their content has increased with the money they've invested in their artists.
CyGames have some of the best mobage out there, imho. I genuinely have fun with their games and I heavily admire the art and production quality.

Basically, the company is becoming too corporate for creators, this happened to Nickelodeon in the early 2000's and Cartoon Network in the mid to late 2000's. It's a big reason why artists leave companies and studios.
