Well deserved! It’s great to see the series go back to its roots while incorporating the quality of life changes from World. The maps and new monsters are incredible (Almudron being my favorite). Get rid of Rampage mode, though! What insidious customer marketing panel told Capcom that was a good idea? Some Namco Bandai people must have snuck in. I do not want to play this stupid tower defense game. Lose it!

Having an IG Tier mobility with my weapon of choice the Gunlance feels so good ! I hadn't much expectation for Rise and so far it turned out to be my favorite launch in the franchise since the 3rd game, the wirebug alone make the gameplay overwhelmingly more flexible, low mobility weapons no longer exist.
While i don't really dislike Rampage mode i get why it's not well received, this mode might be the most efficient for farming purpose but certainly not the most funnier and knowing that it's clearly intend for teamplay, it's doubly true for people who mainly plays solo like me.

The monsters in this game look incredible, and I definitely feel like I'm missing out on all the launch fun, but I'm not ready for Monster Hunter to take over my life again.
And of course, the game I choose to skip is the one where they finally add dogs.
