This is sad to hear. At such a young age, too.
Shiki is a favorite of mine and I thought she did a wonderful job voicing Kaori. May she rest peacefully.

It's really not good to speculate. At her age she could easily have been treating:

-mental illness
-breast cancer/another kind of cancer
-any number of genetic disorders

She may have passed from COVID, especially if she was immunosuppressed/compromised but there are way too many possibilities. It's better to just pay respects in these cases.

True, but...
Given that Japan has not exactly been handling COVID well for the last 3-6 months, it seems like a reasonable conclusion.


And yet people still die of cancer, and a number of other diseases totally not connected to Covid, so it's not such a sound conclusion. Could have been anything for all we know.

Unfortunate news to hear. I'm curious of what the cause was because she was definitely ahead of her time. I hope her family can get through this tragic period. RIP

I never even heard of her but it's still sad to see someone as young as she was dying.
