When Jordan was saying he bought in anime influences people thought he was joking about it, or at least exaggerating. Dude was as serious as a heart attack. Jonathan Majors flat out said Jordan showed him Naruto episodes to help convey the dynamic he wanted (which is a pretty funny mental image). It’s clear this is just something he likes and uses to help convey his vision directing.

Majors was almost fired after telling Jordan that he could not create shadow clones of himself.

the Gundam is the Red Frame from SEED Astray. The scene takes place in 2002 which would technically be possible but means that young Adonis was very much on the pulse of what's coming out in Japan.
