Uhh I have not read this series but the image shown has the volume listed as 上 (upper), meaning it was always intended to be a short series… (上 下(lower) commonly used for two volume series, or 上中(middle)下 for three volume ones.) I would advise not jumping to conclusions….

This was a really strange series. It can be too weird for some readers while weirdly compelling for some others. Not just the story in general, but the entire art and panelling too.
For starters, it takes place in South Africa out of all places.
