I honestly thought the first one felt more like a classic PS2 Armored Core game than Armored Core 6 did.

Its so so, get it on heavy discount. Story is aggressively anime with way too many one note character. Mech customization is good, if not quite AC level, but level aren't particularly interesting, with many just being about killing X enemy.
