Look I know that Nintendo's gonna Nintendo but if those are anything more than $15 MAX (I'm talking about the upgrades to Switch games that have been out for a while now, not stuff like Pokemon and Prime 4) this will definitely be the worst I've seen anyone nickle-and-dime customers outside of a damn gacha game. (in recent memory)

Based on the listed prices of the Switch 2 editions, it's probably a safe bet that the upgrades will be $10. It also seems so far that all of the upgrades that cost money include new content; the games that are just performance improvements with no new content are free.
I know folks are upset about the prices, but I think it's worth noting that after adjusting for inflation, the Switch 2 is roughly the same price as every other console Nintendo has ever released. Nintendo's prices haven't gone up, we're just all living in an economy in recession and we're all being underpaid. |

I hope they won't overcharge for the "upgrade" more than a typical 9-19€ DLC. I don't think I'll be tempted for most games, but I might be for my Zelda and a possible SSBU that's not announced yet, considering it's the last SSB we'll get, it'll be one of the most anticipated upgrades and a potential real game changer if they make significant changes to the netcode and lag imput. It would have been nice for Switch Zelda "upgrade" to have motion control for martial attacks like Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword HD versions but it would be impossible with the limited moves of each weapons .

@geometry arrow These are some of the best franchises ever, and I'm curious to see how the Switch 2 will enhance the experience. I wonder if we'll get some new features or gameplay innovations. Super Mario Party Jamboree sounds like a blast, and with Zelda and Metroid on board, it feels like Nintendo is bringing out all the big guns. Definitely looking forward to more details!

I guess now we have to wait on buying Nintendo games in case they pull an Atlus?
