I have a couple friends that are of the mind that any Yuri is a good read regardless of the contents and I know that in some cases, it's so difficult to find a good one that you "take what you can get"....

I don't like that. If it's a situation where it's subversive and it's actually poking fun at the trope in a way that's fun to read then I'm down for it, but simply just swapping the main character and calling it a day isn't the sort of vibe I'm looking for.
I've suffered through playing enough male Persona protagonists at this point that a book doing what I've already been forced to for years doesn't have enough novelty to convince me to try it.

Thanks for the review
This is getting animated, so I'll be checking it out that way.

I feel like even the Yuri genre needs this kind of series.

Hold the phone, is this just Absolute Boyfriend(took me too long to find the name cause I kept thinking it was rental boyfriend) but with a slight twist?
well the art looks pretty so I'll give it a read but I hope there's more to the story than just comedy. Unless the comedy is that good.

I agree with you. It's not what *I* want in a Yuri manga, but I'm glad it exists for those who do.
