like Charizard and Mewtwo did, Raichu got 2 Mega Evolution forms.
The Kalos Starters Finally got Mega Evolution forms. I hope when the game launches we'll get Mega Evolution forms for Meganium, Emboar, and Feraligatr. |

It's nice to see Raichu get some love, but these new mega forms just aren't hitting. Gamefreak really isn't beating the allegations that they hate Pokémon.

I guess Raichu X is Attack-based and Y is Special Attack-based, as they don't seem to get another type. The Rogue Pokémon battles seem to have an increased scale of attack, and with the real-time battle, it should make for some epic fights.

I'm fine with the DLC having exclusive mons even if it is a pretty tacky to announce paid DLC before the game is even out. What really stinks is they're locking the Megas for the Kalos starters behind the Online component as season rewards for doing ranked matches. Meaning if you pick up the game at a later date or have zero interest in competitive online play you miss out on ever Mega evolving them during the main story. |
