Title is wrong in the article title.
Man, imagine trying to do a tribute and just using part of the original instead. Oops!

| The article wrote: | | Universal Studio Japan stated its intentions were to “pay homage to Sashitama's original music video” during the production of the music video for Ado's cover, However, the music production company said that “due to insufficient understanding of copyrights and neglect to do the legal review process, we ended up using some of their creative material without permission.” |
As a musician, this quote, coming from a MUSIC PRODUCER, is absolute, utter bovine manure. That's why they have to have legal department; things like these might seem like nothing to big-name companies like Universal itself, but they should have at least an inkling of an idea of how copyright works. Did their lawyers get their degree from ChatGPT University? [/rant]
Ironic how these companies will tear normal peeps apart because someone uses their music, but when they're the ones infringing the laws, all they say is "oops" and then they'll do it again (pun intended).
