Let me guess, the decline in people going to the arcade is one of them, am I correct? I mean we've seen video arcade in the US has already declined since console gaming got better, and better technology and it caused the arcade scene to take a nosedive. I think it maybe the same thing for Japan's arcade scene too I assume. |

Might also be due to economic conditions there (increase in property rental price, prime real estate location for another business to use said property, price increases to play said games in the arcade proper, etc.). That's just spit balling on my part, I'm not an economist like Paul Krugman.

Well that too, but we've already seen attendance at video gaming arcade being on the decline at the point the number of people going to arcade are almost in the single digits. So unless the same Gen Z demographic with their retro nostalgia revival can help the arcade scene in the US (& Japan), I don't know if video game arcade will ever get revived or gain new resurgence in this current market and environment. |
