There's not much in the way of news here, as neither Anime Limited or MVM have ever given guarantees of shipping sale items before the Christmas window. Maybe if you ordered in the first few days, but for later, or just larger orders, the expectation of not seeing anything until mid-January has always been the norm.
By the looks of it newer fans/sale participants have been more vocal than usual on social media after not receiving shipping notifications within a week, so AL are managing expectations ahead of time, which is ideally what they should have done at the beginning of every sale. Saves the usual grumblings in the UK blu ray forums, etc, I'm not sure if the company is still using MVM to help ship the orders, or if it's partially being done in-house, but it's a small team handling bulk media arriving from other locations, that are then shipped to customers. It's a slow & laborious task subject to manpower and Christmas transit chaos. Be patient. |
