-Obligatory "Jiggle physics in 4K!" joke-

Anyway, good to see Koei-Tecmo getting back to some silliness after stuff like Nioh. Hopefully with this and Virtua Fighter we can have some damn variety in 3D fighters after Tekken having no competition.

Sega and KT picked the perfect time to try again, considering the state of Tekken 8 for the last year or so

And I'm glad they immediately confirmed Hayabusa is still around and he's not being replaced by Yakumo lol

We'll see if the new Dead or Alive project has meat on the bones or if it has a similar greedy DLC and Battle Pass plan like Tekken 8 does.

If they didn’t replace him with Yaiba why would they replace him with Yakumo.

They could easily have both.

Lol did you see the prices for DOA 5 & 6’s DLC?

One of those is a random side game from the developers of Call of Duty 1's console spinoff and the other is the big 4th mainline game and part of KT's push back into NG and DoA, this ain't rocket science lmao

^Even then there was never a possibility of Ryu being subbed out for Yakumo in the fighting games. These games have seldom if ever taken out established characters in newer titles.

And even if they had he’d be in the game as DLC Razz

I'm not holding out hope. The announcement for DOA6 Last Round also said that besides including all the prior DLC in it, there will be...more DLC.

I also don't think Yakumo would have entirely replaced Ryu here. Other Ninja Gaiden characters have found their way into DOA as it has gone along. Odds are that Last Round and DOA 7 would include both characters.
