gonna nitpick here... Monogatari is irrelevant in Shaft resting on laurels because it came out BEFORE Madoka.Very odd way to write... |

I might be misremembering, as I was unable to locate it, but didn't Shaft make a sort of music video anime series in the late 80s, as their first independent title?

Exactly my thought too!
I can't think of any other of their original anime, aside from Madoka franchise, that was successful... Maybe it's more like a wish for them to have more original anime successes in the future? |
