If he was 71 and was indeed born on August 18, then I can conclude that he was actually born in 1954. What do you think?

Math is off he was 70.
Rest in peace. I remember he was in the first episode of fist of the North Star. He was very good at playing stocky older men. Edit: forgot to mention he also voiced Weevil and Pappug in one piece. |

RIP, his role as Majin Buu got him to flex, doing different voices for the different Majin forms.

Majin Buu was the first major manga/anime villain I ever stopped to really notice. Pink yet terrifying. Funny but still unnerving. A villain but somebody who still had a character journey arc unlike with Frieza (in the early years) and Cell. Shioya’s comedic timing made for some darkly humorous moments like when Buu blasts that one guy whose boat he sank in the anime and later when Good and Evil Buu’s split in half, his screaming at Mr. Satan to run away really felt like his mind was on the verge of total meltdown.
RIP, Kozo sir. Thanks for helping to indict me into this grandiose world. Til we meet again... |
