I'm amused that despite a solid half or more of the review being merciless shade the overall letter grade was pretty solid.

Kevin's review pretty much parallels my own feelings about the show, though I didn't bother to pick it up after the hiatus. Pehaps Chitose would've been a better character if there was an actual foil that would humble him, instead of almost everyone kissing his behind.

Thanks for writing the review. I haven't had the chance to check out the anime. But I always had been genuinely curious how they'll adapt the LN.
Not sure why, but the scenes you describe somehow feel more palatable in the novels. It's like there's always this nagging feeling that there must be something more to it. I do agree with everyone who says that it's cringe though.
