I've been to Toonami Jetstream and I watched Mar; Hikaru no Go; and Prince of Tennis. My fav was Hikaru with Mar and PoT tying for second until i missed a few episodes. It's nice they put Mar and PoT on their Saturday lineup but was hoping they would put Hikaru on their too.

The reason why they don't show "Hikaru No Go" on CN because it doesn't have action! At least it has some suspence in it! I think the series is still good!

Actually, I believe the real reason Hikaru no Go isn't on Toonami is that it's already airing on TV, on the AZN channel.

I watched all three anime series on Toonami Jetstream when it first launched. However, I can't say that I've visited the site at least once in the past 3-4 months. The only show on TJ that I actually found enjoyable and worth finishing was Hikaru no Go. Prince of Tennis and MAR just seemed too.... stereotypical. MAR was one of the cliched anime I've watched, second only to Flame of Recca.

With MAR, it's your stereotypical premise of a kid who's nerdy and loves video games. Somehow, the nerd land that he's dreamed of all his life turns out to be real, and somehow he gets transported there. While there he is endowed with the super-human powers that he's fantasized about and is given some sort of mission which has the fate of the realm hanging the balance. I only got about 5 episodes into the series before I knew, "Yeah, this kid's gonna' go on to save this little world and he's gonna' get transported back to his own world while everyone lives on happily ever after". Sorry, but I've already seen stuff like this series way too many times before.

Prince of Tennis, there were some aspects of the series that I liked. I'm not too big of a tennis fan, but I liked seeing all the special moves that Echizen did in the first 5 episodes or so. Even so, I couldn't handle how the show was just going to be an episodic, "opponent of the day, flaunt your mad tennis skillz!" series. I may be wrong on how the series eventually turned out, but that was definitely the vibe that I got from the first several episodes.

With Hikaru no Go, however, there was depth, development, and drama. Sure, it's cliche how the story to HnG kicks off, but it's well worth it. The feud between Hikaru and Akira throughout the series provides drama like no other, not to mention the spoiler[eventual loss of Sai and the heart-breaking journey that Hikaru makes in an attempt to find him.] The development from Hikaru being a back-seat tool who just placed the stones whereever Sai wanted to spoiler[eventually playing on his own and becoming a pro] also provided more depth to the series. Overall, I just found HnG to be much more entertaining than the other two series.

As for Hikaru no Go not being aired on Cartoon Network for not having any action in it, if there's any truth to that statement, then it has to be one of the stupidest decisions ever made on Cartoon Network's part. The series should at least be given a chance with a test run on Toonami. HnG is one of the most underrated Shounen titles you'll find out there, and the fact that it's not given the merit that it deserves because it doesn't contain balls-to-the-wall violence is beyond me.

Well unfortunately I don't have either of those channels, but who knows? Mabye CN will pick it up when these channels are done with it.

Anyways, I only watch Hikaru no Go on Jetstream, and the only reason why is because I can only use firefox on my computer, and by the time they finally were compatible with firefox, all three shows were already to episode 10 or so, and the only series that had the episodes I needed to catch up on on YouTube was Hikaru no Go. I have been trying to watch MAR and Prince of Tennis on CN, but unfortunately they have decided they don't want to show them in order.

Hikaru no Go I think (besides Naruto) is the best show on Jetstream though. I do agree with what SharinganEyes92 said about MAR about how it's too stereotypical, and for that reason it is the series I'm least interested in. However, I don't know what's so bad about a series with a happy ending. I can see if it were a sports series or someting, or if, like you said, it is too predictable that it will happen, but this a series about trying to save the world and defeating evil, so I have no problem with the fact that I can predict that fact about it's ending. But it is kind of a mildly entertaining series, so I think I should keep giving it a shot.

As for Prince of Tennis, I don't really like Tennis either. But this is turning out to be a pretty interesting series with a pretty good storyline. It is definitely one that has caught my interest, It's just the whole Tennis thing is kind of taking my enjoyment of the series away, at least enough to like it on the same level of Hikaru no Go.
