Hellsing Dvd question

i was just wondering is there any difference between the Hellsing normal Dvd's and the Hellsing Ultimate Dvd? thanks i own and have seen the original series and i heard there was a new series on the way whats the status on that can someone inform me please and thank you!

The original anime diverged from the manga it was based on around the halfway point (after the Valentine Brothers incident) and did its own story, which is widely disliked by fans.

The Ultimate OVAs are a new series that is faithful to the manga. The first two volumes cover the the portion of the manga that the TV series was faithful for, so its covering the same material over again, but it looks better and is more violent. Volume 3 and onwards will be new material that the TV series didn't cover.

Each volume of Hellsing Ultimate only has one episode, though its longer than normal (40-50 minutes each). While the first Hellsing series was a TV series, Hellsing Ultimate is an OVA series, meaning it comes out straight to video in Japan at a rate of one episode every 6 months. Geneon decided to release one episode at a time to get it out quicker, rather than wait a year or more to put more episodes on each volume. The Ultimate series covers roughly one volume of manga per episode, so it should be 10 episodes total, since the manga is supposed to be that long when it finishes.
