I haven't seen the promos yet, but my brother told me they started advertising Saturday night.

This was posted on Hasbro.com:

There’s something new about this year’s ZOIDS battles… it seems that many ZOIDS can “fuse” together for enhanced power and speed. Can RD and his Mach Storm Team successfully compete against these new ZOIDS FUZORS? Will they unlock the secrets to fusing for their ZOIDS before it’s too late? There's also a new organization lurking in the shadows of Blue City… can RD win battles against the powerful enemy ZOIDS AND prevent this dark scheme? Stay Tuned!

Still not entirely sure what the production is behind this series. I've been told it was don't the same style as the first two series so Fuzor was probably done by the same companies.

I'll probably just catch it when I see it and not go out of my way to watch it as it's just a direct sequal to Zero.

Its a direct sequal to Zoids/Zero!

I think it probably might suck because Zoids/Zero was a piece of (a word with four letters that begins with the letter 'S')

Cool

I saw the previews. Looks like more CGI mecha running around. I think the CGI quality looks a little better.

I loved Zoids:Chaotic Century and am watching the rest of the Zoids as it plays Saturday night on CN.

Dont know much about Fuzors but I plan to watch and see whats what.

Xebec did Chaotic Century, Guardian Force, and Zero. As you can see from the encyclopedia entry, they were responsible for quite a bit of stuff, including Sorceror Hunters, Nadesico, and Love Hina.

However, they're no longer involved. Zoids: Fuzors is being handled by Tokyo Kids. They've done...er...Tenshi no Shippo and Hand Maid Mai. Anime dazed

Also, unless the commercials (which I've not seen yet) indicate otherwise, the story synopsis from Hasbro's site seems to indicate that it's NOT a "direct" sequel to Zero...

IIRC, Xebec is Production IG's TV arm.

I think it's a direct sequel to Zero. RD is using the Liger Zero, and as far as I can tell there was only one. I have a feeling that he may be Bit Clouds son, since they say that RD's father was a great pilot in the Liger Zero.

well liger zero and beserk fury are suppose to be some of the strongest zoids ever....and there being used by a mail man, and a...i dont know what that other guy does

both looked like they are just average zoids not that much stronger than other zoids

i hope its not a sequel....zoids zero wasnt that good...this show looks like it has a chance of being good

It's kinda like Zoids Zero after an industrial revolution. The series isn't all desert this time around, there are actual cities with actual law enforcement and civilians driving around in actual vehicles. Zoid Battles are still around from Zero, but they're televised and far more commercial by being played out in arenas.

I'm not positive that RD is Bit's son, but the way they avoid giving him a last name or saying what his father's name is it does seem reasonable that he would be a direct decendent. One reason is because is because he doesn't have the Liger Zero upgrades that Bit had so they may have been displaced somewhere down the line. Also the Alpha Zoid is something completely new to the series, either Bit discovered it when he was older or one of his decendents did.

Everything seems to imply that a lot of time has gone by, if it hasn't then they should really explaine the time gaps that would be required for all of this new technology.

One last thing, an attempt to put the time line into a perspective the way I see it:

Zoids Chaotic Century: equal to our early 1800's (small desert towns, fortresses, somewhat unorganized territories, and bandits)
Zoids New Century Zero: equal to our mid 1900's (more structure, an apparent industrial revolution, an increase in technology outside of war)
Zoids Fuzor: equal to our present 2000's (highly technical, large sprawling cities, organized highway systems)

Not wholely accurate, but it does somewhat make sence in terms of the way things have evolved in the form of civilization.

if you look at Zero it has no new technology...something happened between chaotic and zero that made them loose there tech of zoids...all the zoids in zero were salvaged from ruins and stuff

fuzors does have new technology...if it is a sequel to the other it must be centuries ahead

What about the Liger Zero upgrades? And what about the Judge satellites? I don't seem to remember any satellites in Chaotic Century.

Perhaps the Zoids didn't see much in the form of new technology, but Zi deffinatly improved over time compared to Chaotic Century which was mostly wastelands.
