If I can't add anything to the Encyclopedia, then you lose someone who might be able to inform you of upcoming releases which would add revenue to the site...

I think if they were that concerned about it they would just appoint a volunteer to do the foot work for them. Preferably one that wont abuse the system.

I think revenue is second in their mind after reliability. Mentioning in the encyclopedia how much Tarantino sucks or how Michael Bay ruined your childhood is not what I'd call reliable nor impartial. Considering it's part of their job I also think they can find out about new releases well enough on their own.

Odds are if you were banned it was for a good reason, I don't think you would have been banned for committing no offense towards the rules. So to spare themselves the hassle of dealing with non allowed content they stopped the submissions at the source. Just my opinion.

GATSU was banned from the Encyclopedia for lots of reasons, and here's a handful of them: - Posted hate pages for Quentin Tarantino. Also posted "Starting fist fights" and "Used to like Chow Yun Fat until the actor spoke better English than him." as a Favorite for Tarantino. - Posted Newgrounds.com pages for Golgo 13: The Professional, Death Note, Naruto, Neon Genesis Evangelion and Dragon Ball Z. - Posted "Pot" as a Favorite for Haley Joel Osment. - Claimed that one of the Wachowski Brothers had a sex change and that "BDSM" as a favorite. - Posted "Common Knowledge" or "tabloids" as his source for majority of his info. - Posted "makes bad puns in his manga" and "likes to make cameos in his manga" for Osamu Tezuka. - Posted a Van Helsing trivia for Hellsing. - Posted "Completely screws up the continuity of the games." as trivia for Street Fighter II V. Since Day One, GATSU's been more of a liability to the Encyclopedia than an asset, as majority of his submissions are nothing but bad PR to not only the anime industry, but the general entertainment industry. |

Hey, other than the Wachowski thing, most of those are true! And why are the Newgrounds links any worse than any of the other fan pages out there? Besides, no one told me I couldn't post that stuff until I was banned.

Hmm, but aside from Newgrounds you seem to have posted some unworthy material in the encyclopedia even if it wasn't from Newgrounds, and you don't post a credible source to confirm it.
