spoiler[Does anyone else wonder how Akabane Cloud (aka Dr. Jackel) gets those knives into his body like that?]
Also........ spoiler[I have only gotten to episode 22 and i stopped watching it because of my internet connection. Does Ban kill Hudo or is Ban like poisoned or something because he was acting weird.] |

Hm...looks like your have a previous thread that was locked for some reason. But anyways I will answer for yas since I've seen up to ep49....
Yes Getbackers is definately one of my favorites for action though plot is a bit simple, but let me get to the point... spoiler[ EP23 your question #1 Anime wise the guy with the knives was not really explained thoroughly why or how he has them inside to my knowledge. Question#2 Mido Ban actually took damage from Ginji so he was more hurt than he let on. Then when he goes to fight Fudo he doesnt have the strength to fight. Luckily Shido(A.K.A. monkey boy) steps in to fight while Mido runs with the group to recooperate. Then Shido appears to be loosing later so in steps EMishi and Kazuki who in turn end up all having to fight a dozen or so copies of Fudo. It then turns out that ALL of them are replicas and not the real thing. All part of Makubex's program if I recall. ] Thats as far as I will go on the recap but hope that helps.

Theres another thing. Dont you think it is weird how spoiler[Jubei and Akabane can generate those knives? They look like some kind of energy type weapons.]
also.... spoiler[Did it ever say how ginji got his powers or why he has them? The same thing goes for Ban. I dont get how they get powers. I heard them say something about ginji that he was like an eel or something but i maybe wrong.] |

spoiler[ginji got his powers from the tramatic experiences in his childhood and he eventually just snaps unleashing them.
mido has powers due to his constellation which is the snake. kind of like his astrological sign. but he probably has other things that are responsible for his powers. ] |

spoiler[Didn't in like episode 12 or something it said that Ban inherited the Evil Eye from his grandmother and long before then it was some trait that witches had?] I have only seen like 14 eps, though, so later on there could be more of an explaination.

That's correct. I remember hearing that theory as well. I'm only up to episode 18 and so far there haven’t been too many references about Miduo's power origins.

i forgot which episode it was, but didn't Ban explain that Akabane's knives were literally inside his body and Akabane was able to release as many knives as he willed? |

Y-yeah somethin like that WAS mentioned, however there was no true backgrounds into the "hows" of the knives or who trained him or anything. That part in the anime wasn't fully detailed.
I sorta like the mystery though. It adds more to him since Akabane isnt necessarily a good guy. Again I'm up to ep49 and I hadnt heard much more for him, though other characters are more thoroughly detailed from ep22... D. |

Oh, well I never really checked if that was the last of it. Makes since I suppose. It ended on a high note and the original intro theme played at the end. If thats all they are going to do with getbackers then Im fine with it (sorta). Things are still left untouched so there better be another season... D.W. |
