Since this is a split rather than a duplicate, pulling it out from the duplicate persons thread. Originally reported Dec 25, 2005:

Fixed, but this one gave me some trouble. Atsushi Itou had previously been split into #10470 (animation staff) and #47864 (jdorama actor) and then #47864 had been merged into Atsushi Itoh #48846
To clear up the whole thing I had to unbind #47864 from #48846 and then merge #48846 into #47864, and then split #10470 (animation staff) into #10470 (producer) and #86811 (animator)

Sorry about that. I knew about the previous split (could have sworn I mentioned it, perhaps I accidentally deleted something) but not about the merge.
The jdorama actor being merged would explain why it comes up as an ambiguity when entering for "atsushi itou" and asked you to choose from the animator and the jdorama actor, but there was no (jdorama actor) showing on his actual page. I still don't really understand the background processes behind merging and splitting having never performed either. |

Just because this wasn't fun enough already, there's someone credited as 2nd key animator on Kiddy GiRL-and episode 21 whose name is "伊藤篤史" - another Atsushi Itou. I'm hoping this is just a misspelling of #86811.
They turn up elsewhere: http://wiki.livedoor.jp/radioi_34/d/隠の王 http://www1.vecceed.ne.jp/~m-satomi/zoidsgenesis_sub1.html but since they are dwarfed by the number of results for 伊藤篤志 I do think/hope these are just typos. |
