They announced a Kingdom Hearts Anime? When was this?

A Kingdom Hearts animation was "announced", but from what I can remember it wasn't nessecerally going to be anime.
And it was mentioned a while ago. TADA!!!! |

Not if it has Disney characters in it it won't be. They will never allow a foreign studio (not under their direct control) to handle their stuff

Kouichi YAMADERA *biggest role was probably original Spike of cowboy bebop* voiced the Japanese Donald, and from the reviews I hear, he actually sounds much like the original. Acording to some trivia somewhere, Shin'ichirô Miki would of voiced Sephiroth if they were to of dubbed him for the Japanese version *He only showed up in the American version* because he's Square's official voice for that character, and aparently 40% of the seiyuu have done work on Cowboy Bebop. I'm finding it hard to believe Disney will allow a foriegn anime company animate it now too, especially since they closed down all their Japanese studios. I see it more likely being animated by their usual tv cartoon group they have here, which I don't particularly like because the lack of quality of the animation for their tv shows is usually not so good. |

I believe he meant animation. Third-party developers create Disney-related video games, but the company pretty much handles its own animated productions. Of course tweeners and small jobs like that are usually sent to other companies, but the really important production jobs tend to stay within Disney. |

I also like his Juubei, Kaji, and Ryouga. And yes, I heard Donald in a movie clip from the Japanese version, and he sounded VERY close to the original. 
But I'm still surprised that was him... |

Damn. Of all the Square series at the moment, this is one of the ones I most want to play and get into. The concept was just so incredibly amusing.
Man. I would buy the anime if it were to come out. Come on. Have some faith in Disney. They're not really my favorite company (far from it acctually), but I think they know how sketchy the entire scenerio is, and will likely try something smart with this. Man. If it ever made it to the U.S., I might have something to watch the Disney channel about. =P |

News report said it's being produced by Disney, meaning it'll likely be made in the US and not by a Japanese studio. It's like SoW said, Dsney almost never lets other studios create their animation projects. |

Maybe we'll get lucky and Disney finds out their fired one too many animators, so they have no animators free, and are FORCED to use another animation company, one in Japan, because Disney is so smart now that they know that everyone is in/getting into the "fad" of anime, and hey, that Miyazaki guy they make money off of is from there, so maybe it's not so bad afterall.. 
Doesn't Disney now only have a small studio of animators animating their Lilo and Stitch cartoon series, their stupid sequals, and what ever other cartoons of theirs are on tv? |
