'Tai Seng Entertainment' Acquires Legend of The Condor Hero

Amazon.com and BestPrices are listing Legend of Condor Hero DVD Vol. 1 to be released next month October 19, 2004.

If you are interested you can check out this online trailer. It will be released both in Subbed and Dubbed formats for Region 1 (USA, Canada only).

ANN's Encyclopedia has a little info on the series.

Plus according to Amazon:- Studio: Tai Seng Entertainment owns the domestic distribution rights to Legend of The Condor Hero. The English department over at : Tai Seng Ent has confirmed that they have English translation rights to Legend of The Condor Hero. Tai Seng Ent. also confirmed that this is their first anime title release.

The original language for this series is in Japanese and it looks like the English DVD will not have Japanese audio track. Shocked Confused

Does anyone else know anything else about this title or its licensing issues or its PR? What do you guys make of this?

It is Japanese, English & Mandarin audio apparently.

I wonder if it is their first as i think they also licensed Alexander Senki (Reign The Conqueror) the movie. I know Tokyopop did the series in the USA but i think the Tai Seng version did not have english audio or subs since like most of their stuff it is for the overseas chinese community.

Anyway although i have the Condor Heroes Set already i hope it does well for Tai Seng and they license more anime. Smile

They started bringing movies to the U.S. in 1996 according to their site.

Ok, since I have seen Reign the Conqueror, and I want to buy it, I suppose I inderectly have heard of them.
