This is going to be a three horse race really between the original SDF Marcoss TV series, it's Movie incarnation, DYRL and Macross Frontier.

Everything else... Well, aside for it's animation and Yoko Kanno soundtrack which are still stunning, Macross Plus doesn't hold up nearly as well as people think. 7 and Delta while not bad, have lots of problems and the less said about Macross Zero the better. And Macross II is okay but last I checked not counted as an official part of the franchise still.

I just re-watched Macross + last year and it was even better than I remembered. This will be an interesting poll.

I don't think it'll be as much as a three horse race as you think. Macross 7 was actually pretty popular when it ran on TV back in 94-95 and had quite a few CDs for Firebomber's music. Delta probably won't do too bad musically, seeing how popular Walkure currently seems to be.

I'm on the opposite side of the fence regarding Macross Zero. I actually enjoyed it more than I did Plus.

Macross II, on the other hand, I could do without.
