So now we're promoting Gundam and Evangelion via LA Dodgers victory? I wonder if the LA Dodgers (or the MLB) are willing to include any of the characters or design-style from Mitsuru Adachi given his baseball manga work (and sports anime/manga genre in general), that would really help baseball anime and manga in the US a lot if they did that.

Little correction: the large face in the End of Eva poster is Rei's, not Kaworu's.

Anyway, this is nifty ^^

Technically, you don't have to, the definition of mainstream has changed a lot due to social media, and streaming (or even a well-known influencer marketing/culture can also do that). So something niche or less-obscure can become well-known or mainstream overnight just because of that. So MLB and LA Dodger can promote a baseball anime/manga if they wanted to.

Oh, and I want to let you know that SB Nation's The Good Phight openly promoted and reviewed Short Game: Mitsuru Adachi's High School Baseball Collection manga on their website back in July. Something I never thought a official MLB fan site would do. So that's a good starter, I would love MLB to promote baseball anime/manga no matter how obscure it is.

Don’t doubt that but given how attempts have been made to get something popular in Japan also popular here have been made I just don’t see thar working especially with Sports related manga.

Well you never know until you try. I mean nobody thought that Haikyuu! would be the one that helped sports anime genre gained cross audience appeal beyond anime fans. Remember, we lived in an era of social media, and influencers. It takes one or more influencers to turn something niche into something very mainstream overnight.

I agree with you. I was surprised.
