I kind of forgot that season 2 wasn't over...this show deserved better.

The general consensus is Hasbro was on the hook for a S4, so they made two specials to wrap it up. Toy wise, they have shifted completely to Cyberworld for mass market releases, and as far as animation was concerned, the Energon Universe show being pitched is their big priority.

Speaking of, why did ES warrant an article and not the Energon Universe? The latter was in all the trade papers.

Season 2 did ended. It was followed by a third season. The two specials are considered to be the fourth season.

If I had to fashion a guess no one reads the comics.

That and as mentioned Earthspark is closing up shop.

I was referring to the news that they were making an animated adaptation of the show with Lucifer’s showrunner as the showrunner. Maybe they’re waiting for a pickup, which hopefully gets announced soon.

Not like anyone watched Earthspark either.

Haven't read the comics but I can't imagine they're anywhere near as terrible as Earthspark. IDW's run was bad, sure, but the current ones seem fine from what I've heard.

I mean possibly but shows don’t get two seasons and a chance to finish up their story on their own terms if no one’s watching.
