I have but one thing to say:

PATRICK. SEITZ. AS. ALL-MIGHT.

Make it happen, Funi.

I was honestly not expecting them to get this show, but this is pretty awesome. Can't wait to see what else they get next season.

I kind of expected Funimation to get this title because it seems to be among the most anticipated anime for Spring. And Funimation tends to license a lot of Bones shows.

This has everything going for it to be a hit in the West so I sort of expected it. A dub is probably going to happen too.

This isn't even surprising. I was even expecting them to announce this one first. (well, this or Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress)

I wish Crunchyroll had gotten it, but hey, at least it'll most likely get a dub now. Also, am I the only one that despises the font Viz use for the English title? I think it looks really ugly.

"One Piece," "Fairy Tail," and "Attack on Titan" are owned by Funimation, but those are on Crunchyroll too.

What annoys me is that MHA hasn't even aired yet and it already has an English license, but it takes "Hunter x Hunter 2011" four years to even get picked up by an English distributor, but months later, still have no information about the dub or when it'll get released.

I listen to the English Shonen Jump podcast, and they literally talked about the HxH 2011 dub this week... although the bad news is that voice actors have still not been cast yet.

Funi grabbing this possible cash cow while they can and it doesn't look like they're letting go Laughing

I am sort of surprised but that's more because I still personally consider it too early to think about things like dubs and such. If I wind up liking the adaptation enough though it will be nice to know that I'll actually be able to realistically afford it. Hope the dub is decent but with the new simuldub thing maybe it'd work well maybe not I dunno but that's a longer ways away from now and I still want to see if the adaptation itself is good or not.

Look at all of those countries. I'm so happy for FUNimation and all of the people that finally get to enjoy their titles. Hope they extend their reach even further.

I'm surprised Viz didn't come out of nowhere to license this though. Figured they would. At least at this point, Toonami is inevitable. It's truly a matter of "when" now.

Kind of expected Viz to get the anime rights to this too, seeing as they have the manga rights, but I think it's good Funi's getting it. It deserves a top notch dub and Funi has the best shot at giving it that. In that interest I'd rather it didn't get a broadcast dub, but I'm sure it will. I think this has the universal appeal to be a huge hit in America. The manga is already doing well. 10 to 15 years ago this would have been ever so slightly edited and broadcast on Cartoon Network at like 5PM every single day, reruns for the rest of our lives. As it stands I can see it running on Toonami. It skews a hair younger than a lot of the stuff they play but the manga gets pretty savage at times. I can see the One Piece kids eating this up.
