Pikmin 3's E3 Gameplay Video Streamed

The Nintendo World Report website began streaming a Pikmin 3 gameplay video from the E3 event last week. In the nine-minute video, an E3 attendee plays the sequel strategy game's demo at the event.

Nintendo confirmed the game for the upcoming Wii U console at its E3 media briefing on June 5. The first Pikmin game in eight years will be the series' third title and a direct sequel to the 2004 Pikmin 2 game for the Nintendo GameCube. Nintendo released the original Pikmin game for the GameCube in 2001.

Pikmin 3 will use the console's high-definition graphics and its touchscreen-equipped GamePad to better depict the multitudes of creatures under the player's control. Nintendo producer Shigeru Miyamoto had discussed the development of a Pikmin title for the Wii U since revealing the console last year.
