The Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse television anime series will receive a video game adaptation on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles. The adventure game from 5pb. is slated for a release this winter. The anime and the game adapt the Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse novel, which is itself a spinoff of the 2006 visual novel software Muv-Luv Alternative from the adult game company Age. This side story follows the test pilots and mechanics in the United Nations Forces' Tactical Surface Fighter Testing Unit in Alaska. The anime will premiere in Japan and at Anime Expo on July 1, and Crunchyroll will stream the anime as it airs.

The original Muv-Luv visual novel will also receive a port for the PlayStation 3 on October 25. The limited-edition version will retail for 8,190 yen (about US$102) and the standard edition will retail for 6,090 yen (about US$76). Muv-Luv creator Kouki Yoshimune had revealed plans for a Windows 7-compatible version of the original Muv-Luv visual novel in May. Yoshimune had also revealed plans for a port of the Muv-Luv Alternative visual novel, which will also be released on the PlayStation 3 on October 25.
