Yuma Ishigaki, Kenji Ohba star in 1982-1983 Toei tokusatsu series remake
It was revealed on Saturday that the Toei Space Sheriff Gavan tokusatsu series would receive a film titled Space Sherriff Gavan: The Movie. The original Space Sheriff Gavan series was the first title in Toei's Space Sheriff line of television shows, and aired from 1982 to 1983.
Yuma Ishigaki will star in the film as Geki Jūmonji alongside Kenji Ohba, who reprises his role as Retsu Ichijouji, the protagonist of the original Gavan. Ohba also played the role of Retsu in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger vs. Space Sheriff Gavan: The Movie, which premiered earlier this year.
Space Sherriff Gavan: The Movie is slated to open in Japanese theaters October 20.
