Persona 4: Arena Game's Training Video Streamed

Project manager Yu Namba outlines gameplay in next Tuesday's fighting game

Atlus USA began streaming a training video for its Persona 4 Arena fighting video game on Tuesday. In the video, Cross Counter TV host Gootecks and the game's senior project manager Yu Namba outline the gameplay, especially in how it compares to the Street Fighter franchise.

The game, titled Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena in Japan, is a 2D-animated fighting game using characters from the Persona 3 and Persona 4 role-playing games. The game was originally released in Japanese arcades this past winter.

Atlus then released the game on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles in Japan last week, and Atlus USA will release the game in North America on Tuesday. The North American release will feature "both the original Japanese voice work and an all-new English audio track, a feature easily toggled in the settings for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 system releases."

Atlus USA confirmed last month that the PlayStation 3 version of the game will be region-locked. Atlus USA's version of the game will work in North and South American regions. However, the game's online functionality will not be region-locked, allowing players to play against other players worldwide.
