Monkey Punch wants Steven Soderbergh to direct proposed Hollywood Lupin III

Takeshi Koike, the character designer of Lupin III: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine and the director of Redline, drew a crossover picture between Fujiko and Steven Soderbergh's Haywire film to promote the film's September 28 opening in Japan. The film from the Ocean's Eleven remake's director stars Gina Carano as the female spy Mallory Kane, and it also stars Ewan McGregor, Michael Fassbender, Michael Douglas, Antonio Banderas, and Channing Tatum.

Monkey Punch, the creator of the Lupin III manga/anime franchise and its cunning female thief Fujiko, half-jokingly asked for Soderbergh to direct the proposed live-action Hollywood film version of Lupin III.

People who "like" the official Japanese Facebook account for Haywire can download the picture that Koike drew.
