Nintendo revealed during its Nintendo Direct streaming presentation on Wednesday that it plans to release the Professor Layton & the Azran Legacy (Layton-Kyōju to Chō-Bunmei A no Isan) Nintendo 3DS game in North America in 2014.
Note: Announcement starts at 32:00 mark in below video.
Professor Layton & the Azran Legacy was announced in August of last year. The new game takes place one year after the events of the fifth Layton game, Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, and follows the story of Layton and his allies as they uncover the mystery of an ancient civilization after finding a girl trapped in ice. Level 5 president Akihiro Hino has stated that this will be the "final and greatest adventure" of Professor Layton, and it will feature more than 500 new puzzles. Bill Trinen of Nintendo of America noted in the announcement that the game will mark the conclusion of the second trilogy in the Professor Layton franchise.
Level 5 released the game in Japan on February 28.
