Hyperdimension Idol Neptunia PP Opening Streamed

CPU goddesses turn into idols, perform song written by Halko Momoi in Vita game

Compile Heart began streaming the opening movie for its upcoming PS Vita game Kami Jigen Idol Neptune PP (Hyperdimension Idol Neptunia PP) on Thursday. The opening introduces the CPU goddesses-turned-idols Neptune (Purple Heart/Sega), Noire (Black Heart/PlayStation 3), Blanc (White Heart/Wii), and Vert (Green Heart/Xbox 360) as they perform the song "Next Stage." (The song is actually written by Halko Momoi and sung by the idol group Afilia Saga.)

With this game, the goddesses are "graduating" and heading to the "never-before-seen" next stage with singing and dancing. The story is still set in the video-game homage world of Gameindustri, where the goddesses have maintained the peace. However, the world has been shaken to its core by the idol boom, and the goddesses lose their share of followers. To fight back, the goddesses must become idols themselves.

The regular edition will retail for 6,279 yen (about US$65) on June 20, while the limited edition will go for 8,379 yen (US$87) and the download version for 5,300 yen (US$55).

Update: Song's title corrected. Thanks, KINGRPG
