Gintama Classifieds: Cosplay as Elizabeth for 50,000 Yen
posted on by Jennifer Sherman
The part-time job news service An has already posted listings for positions such as manga "extra," Resident Evil zombie, and Death Note Shinigami. The latest in the site's series of pop culture-related listings is recruiting someone to cosplay as Elizabeth for an event for the live-action Gintama film.
The website is collaborating with the film to offer the one-day job to one person. The successful applicant will don an Elizabeth costume and appear as the character Kotarō Katsura's "right arm." The chosen candidate will appear as the mysterious creature at a preview event for the film in Tokyo on June 28.
Experience, age, and gender will not matter for the job. Applicants must be able to devote themselves to the role of Elizabeth at the event and communicate in writing. The listing notes that "There is no problem even if [the applicant] does not have leg hair." The application period is running from May 9 to May 21, and the successful candidate will be notified by May 31.
The lucky person who gets to transform into Elizabeth will receive 50,000 yen (about US$439), compensation for travel expenses, and goods signed by the cast. A lottery will also select five unchosen applicants to receive goods signed by the cast.
The film's latest trailer debuted in April.
