App Offers Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links Hair Through AR Photos
posted on by Jennifer Sherman
A new Facebook app for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links game debuted on Monday. The app lets Yu-Gi-Oh! fans get Yami Yugi's hair in real life—or at least in pictures.
The app uses augmented reality technology to give users Yugi's hair when via smartphone cameras. The app is available in versions with or without the Dark Magician.
The franchise also announced that this year's Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship will be held in Japan on August 4 and August 5. In addition to the regular and elementary school divisions, the competition will include a Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links category for the second year in a row.
Konami's game launched for smartphones in November 2016, and it debuted for PC via Steam last November. A promotional campaign for the game revealed Yugi's hair in everyday situations in videos and on posters last year.
