The German-born performer goes under the name Animenz; he has a Facebook page and a YouTube channel. The event is described as follows:

Animenz is coming to London for the very first time as part of the Animenz Live 2018 tour with an exciting live performance! Apart from his signature tunes from animes of the likes of Tokyo Ghoul and Guilty Crown, he will perform songs from the hit animation movie, your name., and other pieces which have never been heard on any platforms before! Look forward to a feast of music, fan interaction, as well as discounted merchandise exclusive to ticket-holders.

Merchandise such as sheet music books, CDs, DVDs and posters will be sold before and after the concert. There will also be a meet-and-greet after the concert.

Animenz is a classically trained pianist well known for his virtuosic performance and transcription of anime music. With more than 1,200,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel and close to 1,200,000 followers on Facebook, Animenz's unique renditions of popular anime tracks, marked with his distinctive style of variations, have gained a substantial following on the internet.

Animenz is an ardent fan of Japanese animation. His journey in transcribing and performing anime music began in 2009, when he wanted to play music from the anime Chobits but could not find the sheet music online. He started a blog to share his transcriptions and the Animenz YouTube channel in 2010 to share performance videos with fellow anime fans and music lovers. Since then, he has amassed a staunch online following and has performed internationally to acclaim since 2013.
