Ehime Prefecture Creates Pilgrimage Based on A Tropical Fish Yearns for Snow Manga

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

The prefecture of Ehime has created a pilgrimage route based on Makoto Hagino's A Tropical Fish Yearns for Snow yuri manga. Hagino hails from Ehime and the manga takes place in a seaside town set in the prefecture. The collaboration is specifically set in the Nagahama area of Ozu city. The collaboration launched on Tuesday and will run until August 19.

Visitors can pick up a map of the route at the Nagahama Tourist Information Center which is decorated in A Tropical Fish Yearns for Snow art. The Ozushi Nagahamafureai Hall is hosting an exhibition of the manga's artwork and a photo booth with life-size panels. The aquarium inside the Ehime Prefectural Nagahama High School usually sells "Aquarium Bread" during a limited period but during the campaign visitors can buy the bread at the Pan no Makotoya stores.

On Twitter, organizers are holding a lottery campaign and will award five signed copies of the manga by August 31.

Viz Media will release the A Tropical Fish Yearns for Snow manga starting this fall. The company describes the series:

Konatsu is a fish out of water at her new school. Can Koyuki, the president of the aquarium club, help her come out of her shell?

Hagino launched the manga in Kadokawa's Dengeki Maoh magazine in 2017, and Kadokawa published the manga's fourth compiled volume on January 25.
