London Animate Pop-Up Store Closes Wednesday, Will Return February

Animate Ltd's pop-up store in London, which has operated in The Sidings area beneath Waterloo station since October 31 2025, will close after Wednesday January 7. However, it is due to re-open on the same site in February, as confirmed in the message below, although the exact date is TBC. (Thanks to the shop's staff for the information.)

The pop-up is the first Animate store to appear in the UK. Animate Ltd's Japanese stores include one in the Tokyo district of Ikebukuro, which was certified by Guinness World Record in March 2024 as the world's largest anime shop/store.
