Goes DVD only, drops GTO VHS plans, cancels English dub of Saint Tail, but will complete VPM VHS run.
TokyoPop Anime has announced that starting with Great Teacher Onizuka Vol 1 they will be going DVD only. This means that the previously announced GTO VHS will not be produced.
Tokyopop will also be canceling the English Dub and VHS releases of Saint Tail. Starting with volume 5, the DVDs, which included the English Dub up until now, will only include Japanese dialog and English subtitles. However, they will be increasing the episode count per DVD from 4 to 7 episodes.
On the other hand, Tokyopop will complete the VHS run of Vampire Princess Miyu. VPM will be the only series that Tokyopop will complete on both VHS and DVD.
