Over 1000 Anime Releases in 2003?

The latest edition of the ICv2 Retailers Guide To Anime/Manga suggests that over one thousand individual anime DVDs will be released during the year 2003. Furthermore, the number of manga trade paperback releases is expected to surpass 700. Both values are indicative of the rapidly expanding industries, as the predictions are significantly higher than those of previous years.
