Newtype Shatters 100,000 Barrier

Preorders for the May 2003 issue of Newtype, the seventh since the magazine's American inception, have exceeded 100,000 copies. This number is impressive for a magazine in its first year of business. 30 000 copies of issue 1 were printed, that soon doubled to 60 000 for issue 2. John Ledford, CEO of Newtype USA credited market conditions for his magazine's explosive rise.
