Children's manga category: Sugar Sugar Rune by Moyoco Anno

Shonen manga category: Capeta by Masahito Soda

Shoujo manga category: Oi Piitan!! by Risa Itou and A Perfect Day for Love Letters by George Asakura

General manga category: Dragon Zakura by Mita Norifusa

Past winners of the award include GTO, Akira, Peach Girl, Vagabond, Sailor Moon, Love Hina and Nodame Cantabile
