Early Post War Anime Restored

Princess of Baghdad to be Shown in in its Entirety for the First Time in Years

The Fukuoka City Public Library has announced that it has produced a restored copy of Princess of Baghdad, and will be showing it in its theater this weekend.

The 48-minute black and white animation from 1948 is one of the first animated movies created in Japan after World War II.

The movie is based on an story from of the Arabian Nights.
