CMX Adds Astral Project, Ballad of a Shinigami Manga

CMX Manga announced several new manga titles at its New York Comic Con panel on Saturday. The titles include Sanae Kana's Classical Medley fantasy adventure manga (which uses musical terms for character names), the Astral Project manga by marginal (Old Boy writer Garon Tsuchiya) and artist Syuji Takeya about a teenager's out-of-body experience, and Naomi Azuma's Suihelibe! manga about a mild-mannered biology student who meets an alien girl.
CMX also picked up Izō Hashimoto and Tomoshige Ichikawa's Fire Investigator Nanase manga about a female arson detective, Mai Nishikata's Venus Capriccio drama manga about music students, and Jihai from The Flat Earth Exchange's Toshimi Nigoshi. Finally, CMX added Asuka Izumi's manga version of Ballad of a Shinigami (pictured at left). Seven Seas Entertainment has released the first of Keisuke Hasegawa's original light novels for this series, and BOST TV has been streaming a subtitled version of the anime version in Australia and New Zealand.
